I started out to learn to play the piano by myself. I created an app to view the midi notes as I don't want want to spend years to read musical notation. Then I created a music transcribe app to decode a song in my baby toy piano. I could not find the name of the song so I could not get the midi notes. Now I offer these 2 apps free to anyone who want to learn to play music. 

I have also created an app to play piano on volca series. 

If I suffer, will playing music calm me? A music can excite me to learn to play. Music is used to calm a king to sleep in the bible. Playing music is used for meditation. 

Transcribe for Slacks - St. South

Note that the music starts at time 6 as there is a delay in youTube loading in the app. I have used zoom to verify the actual note. The second view shows clearly which chord is being played. I have used the slider to reveal the notes and then used the reconstruction playback to confirm the sound. Touch any part of the piano roll view to play the reconstruct sound.

I am using Automatic Music Transcribe app for iPhone at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/automatic-music-transcribe/id1053723723?mt=8 Since the music is not allowed to play on the app due to certain Rights, I have played it on my macbook and record it on to the app. I have use the yellow limiting lines to trim off the drum and voice. Then I play the reconstructed music by touching left part of the piano roll view to confirm these notes are piano sound. You can find the left hand notes by using the trim lines too. I have also use the horizontal slider to reveal hidden notes that I may have missed for the answer above.

Transcribe for Jon Batiste Blackbird

Here is the both left and right hand transcription of the music Blackbird. It starts at about time 20 Sec. The left hand plays about F#4 while the right hand plays about G#5.

Transcribe for Happyness - Montreal Rock Band Somewhere

I manage to transcribe the guitar part of the song. It starts approximately at time 23 seconds. See screen shot below...

The guitar notes are Long D4, short D#4,  F4,  G4, long F4, long G4, F4, short G4, short D4 and long D#4 etc. 

I have used the app reconstruct playback (red vertical line in above photo) to confirm they are guitar sound. The song consists of drum, bass and guitar instruments. The drum sounds are near note C4, I have trimmed them away using the app.

Transcribe E-40 Dust

I use iOS app at https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/automatic-music-transcribe/id1053723723?mt=8 to transcribe automatically.

As youtube cannot play the song on the app due to Rights, I play on my macbook and record on the app.

From the result below, the melody comes about 20 seconds, starting with long E5, D5, short F5 and long G5, A4 and repeating the sequence until time 40 seconds. I have used the slider in the app to reveal these notes. Hope it helps you.
